    From Silver Spring Metro Station, take the Red Line towards Glenmont. Travel for 6 stops until you reach the Gallery Place-Chinatown Station. At Gallery Place, transfer to the Yellow Line towards Greenbelt. Travel for 2 stops and get off at the L'Enfant Plaza Station. From L'Enfant Plaza, exit the station and walk south on 7th Street SW for about 0.5 miles until you reach the National Mall. Continue walking along the Mall towards the east until you see the Taft Memorial Carillon located at Washington, DC 20001.

    Board the Ride On bus route 15 or 16 at the Silver Spring Transit Center. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes, then get off at the Rockville Pike & Connecticut Avenue stop. From there, transfer to Metro Bus route 32 or 36 towards the L'Enfant Plaza. After about 20 minutes, get off at the L'Enfant Plaza stop. Walk south on 7th Street SW for about 0.5 miles until you arrive at the Taft Memorial Carillon.

    If you are near Downtown Silver Spring, you can walk to the Silver Spring Metro Station. From there, take the Red Line towards Glenmont and follow the instructions for the Metro option. If you're in a central area of Silver Spring, walking straight to the Taft Memorial Carillon is not feasible due to the distance, so using public transportation is recommended.
