Bus
From Waldorf, walk to the nearest bus stop that serves the Charles County Transit system. Take the 'Route 1' bus heading towards the 'La Plata' direction. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the 'La Plata Park and Ride'. At the La Plata Park and Ride, transfer to the 'Metrobus Route 36' towards 'Naylor Road Metro Station'. Ride this bus for about 45 minutes and get off at the 'Capitol South Metro Station' stop. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to Nationals Park. Head southeast on 1st St SE towards D St SE, then turn left onto D St SE and continue until you reach the stadium at 1500 South Capitol St SE.
Train
Start by walking to the nearest bus stop and take the 'Route 1' bus to the 'La Plata Park and Ride'. From there, board a shuttle to the 'Brandywine' station on the Maryland Area Regional Commuter (MARC) train. Take the MARC train towards Washington, D.C. and disembark at the 'Union Station' stop. From Union Station, take the Metro Red Line towards 'Shady Grove' and get off at 'Gallery Place-Chinatown'. Transfer to the Yellow Line and ride it towards 'Greenbelt', getting off at 'L'Enfant Plaza'. From L'Enfant Plaza, it's about a 15-minute walk to Nationals Park; simply follow the signs for 'National Mall' and then head southeast on 1st St SW.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from a local bike rental shop in Waldorf. Start your journey by heading north towards the 'Waldorf Marketplace'. From there, navigate to the 'Indian Head Rail Trail', which connects to the larger trail system leading towards D.C. Follow the trail until you reach the 'Anacostia Riverwalk Trail'. Continue on this path until you arrive at Nationals Park. The entire ride should take about 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on your speed.
