Walking
From the North End, head northwest on Hanover Street towards the Charlestown Bridge. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk (0.7 miles). Cross over the Charlestown Bridge, enjoying the views of the Boston skyline. Once you reach the other side, follow the road as it curves to the left, and you will see signs for the Charlestown Navy Yard. Continue straight, and you will arrive at Building 5, where Boston National Historical Park is located.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From North End, walk to the nearest bus stop at Hanover Street & Cross Street. Take the MBTA bus #93 towards Sullivan Station. The fare is $2.40 with a CharlieCard or $2.90 for cash. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the Charlestown Navy Yard stop. Walk towards Building 5, which is a short distance from the bus stop. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance to minimize wait times.

You can also take a ferry from the North End. Head to the Long Wharf ferry terminal, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the North End. Board the Charlestown Ferry, which costs $3.70 for a one-way ticket. The ferry ride takes about 10 minutes and offers beautiful views of the harbor. Once you disembark at the Charlestown Navy Yard, follow the signs to Building 5, which is nearby.
