From New Bedford, walk to the nearest bus stop (check the local bus schedule for specific locations). Take the GATRA bus towards Fall River, and transfer at the Fall River Terminal to the Peter Pan Bus Lines heading to Providence. After about 30 minutes, get off at the Providence Terminal. From there, walk south on the Providence River to South Street. The Providence Children's Museum is located at 100 South St, just a few blocks away.

Head to the New Bedford train station. Board a commuter train heading towards Boston and get off at the Providence station. This journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Providence station, exit and walk south towards South Street. The Providence Children's Museum will be on your left at 100 South St.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local rental shop in New Bedford. Head north on Route 18, then take the on-road bike path towards the East Bay Bike Path, which runs alongside the water.
