If you are in the Ixtapa area, you can walk to Malecón Zihuatanejo. Head towards the main road, Boulevard Ixtapa, and walk towards the beach. Once you reach the beach, continue walking along the coastline until you reach Playa la Madera. The Malecón is located just a short distance from the beach area. It is approximately a 25-30 minute walk from central Ixtapa.

You can take a local bus from Ixtapa to Zihuatanejo. Buses regularly run along Boulevard Ixtapa towards Zihuatanejo. Board the bus at any of the bus stops along the boulevard, and inform the driver of your destination, Malecón Zihuatanejo. The fare is usually around 10-15 Mexican Pesos. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Playa la Madera and follow the signs to the Malecón.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare service like Uber. Taxis are available throughout Ixtapa, and you can ask your hotel to arrange one for you.
