Getting There

Walking
From Coco Beach, head west towards the main road, Calle 46, and turn left. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with 5th Avenue. Turn right onto 5th Avenue and walk north. After a few blocks, you will reach the entrance to the Playa del Carmen Archaeological Site located at 5 Av. Nte. 10 in Playacar. The walk should take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer a faster option, consider renting a bicycle. There are several bike rental shops along the beach promenade. Rent a bike and follow the same route as walking: head towards Calle 46, turn left, and then right onto 5th Avenue. Riding a bicycle should get you to the archaeological site in about 10-15 minutes. Expect to pay around 100-200 MXN for a 2-hour bike rental.

Public Transport (Collectivo)
While not the most direct option, you can take a collectivo (shared taxi) if you wish to experience local transport. Walk to the nearest collectivo stop on 5th Avenue and flag down a vehicle heading towards Playacar. The fare is typically around 30 MXN. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to 5 Av. Nte. 10, and then walk the remaining distance to the archaeological site.
