From Campeche, take the Carretera Federal 180 (Highway 180) heading southeast. After approximately 2 hours, you will reach the junction with Carretera Federal 261. Turn onto Highway 261 and continue for about 1.5 hours until you reach the entrance to the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve. There is a fee of approximately 50 MXN per person for entrance to the reserve. Follow the signs for Estructura 2, which is located within the reserve. Remember to check your fuel and provisions, as services are limited within the reserve.

For those opting for public transportation, start by taking a bus from either Campeche or Chetumal to the town of Xpujil. Several bus companies operate on this route, and the journey typically takes around 3-4 hours. Once in Xpujil, you can hire a taxi or join a local tour that will take you to the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve.
