From Traverse City, take M-72 E for approximately 14 miles until you reach the intersection with US-31 N. Merge onto US-31 N and continue for about 15 miles. Take the exit for M-72 E toward Kewadin. After exiting, continue on M-72 E for about 4 miles and then turn left onto Traverse Bay Rd. Continue on Traverse Bay Rd for approximately 1 mile, and you will see the entrance to Torch Bay Nature Preserve on your left at the address 12674-12970 Traverse Bay Rd, Kewadin, MI 49648. There is no entrance fee for the preserve.
