Car
If you're driving, start from Duluth city center. Get onto I-35 N from W 1st St and follow the signs for I-35 N. After approximately 2 miles, take exit 256B for MN-194 E towards the Lake Superior College. Continue on MN-194 E for about 4 miles, then take a slight right onto E Skyline Pkwy. Hawk Ridge Nature Reserve will be on your left after about 1 mile. There is free parking available near the entrance.

Public Transportation
For public transportation, take the DTA Bus Route 5 from downtown Duluth. Buses run approximately every 30 minutes. You will need to get off at the stop near the intersection of E Skyline Pkwy and 61st Ave E. From there, it is a 0.5-mile walk to the entrance of Hawk Ridge Nature Reserve. Please check the DTA website for the latest bus schedules and fares, which generally cost around $1.50 per ride.

Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can take the Duluth Lakewalk or ride along the streets leading up to Skyline Parkway. The bike ride from downtown Duluth to Hawk Ridge Nature Reserve is approximately 3 miles. Be cautious as some parts of Skyline Parkway may have limited bike lanes. Ensure to wear a helmet and follow local biking regulations.

If you're within a reasonable distance, walking is a great way to enjoy the scenery. From downtown Duluth, the walk to Hawk Ridge Nature Reserve is about 3 miles. Follow E 1st St to Lake Ave S, then take a left onto E Skyline Pkwy. This route features beautiful views of Lake Superior along the way.
