Getting There

• Bicycle

  Start your journey at the downtown area of Minneapolis. Head northeast on 1st Ave N toward Washington Ave N. Continue on Washington Ave N until you reach the Stone Arch Bridge. Cross the bridge and enjoy the views of the Mississippi River. After crossing, follow the path along the river until you reach the intersection with Plymouth Ave NE. Turn left on Plymouth Ave NE and continue until you see Boom Island Park on your right. The lighthouse is located within the park, and you can easily walk to it.

• Public Transit

  From downtown Minneapolis, take the Metro Transit bus route 10 or 11 from Nicollet Mall. Get off at the stop at Washington Ave NE & 1st Ave NE. From there, walk east toward the Mississippi River and follow the path along the river towards Boom Island Park. When you reach Plymouth Ave NE, turn left and continue walking until you enter Boom Island Park. The lighthouse is located within the park.

• Walking

  If you are starting from the downtown area, head to the Stone Arch Bridge, which is accessible from various points in downtown. Walk northeast across the bridge, enjoying the view of the Mississippi River. After crossing, follow the river path until you reach Plymouth Ave NE. Turn left and continue walking along Plymouth Ave NE until you reach Boom Island Park. The Boom Island Lighthouse is located within the park, easily accessible on foot.
