Getting There

Walking
From the main tower in Nagarkot, head down the hill towards the main road (Nagarkot Road). Continue to walk straight until you reach the intersection with the Bhaktapur - Nagarkot Road. At this intersection, turn left and follow the road for approximately 7 kilometers. After you pass through the lush countryside, you will eventually reach a bus stop near the entrance of Bhaktapur. From here, you can catch a local bus or walk to the historic city of Bhaktapur, which is about a 10-minute walk away.

Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle in Nagarkot, start from the center of Nagarkot and cycle down the Nagarkot Road. Keep an eye out for the signs that guide you towards Bhaktapur. The ride will take you through beautiful landscapes and may take about 30-40 minutes. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow the traffic rules. Park your bicycle at the bus stop near the entrance of Bhaktapur before exploring the area.

For the adventurous, you can hike from Nagarkot to Bhaktapur. Start your hike by following the trail that leads down the hill from Nagarkot. Make your way through the pine forests and local villages. The hike is roughly 8 kilometers and may take around 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Be sure to carry enough water and snacks, and wear comfortable hiking shoes. This route will offer stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys.
