Walking
If you are starting from the Amersfoort train station, exit the station and head towards the main exit. Once outside, turn left onto Stationsplein, then right onto Stadsring. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Zandlaan. Cross the road and head straight onto the Zandlaan, which will turn into Krommestraat. Follow Krommestraat until you reach the historic city center. Once in the center, follow the signs towards the canals and the 'Oudezijds Voorburgwal'. It is a long walk, approximately 1.5 hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes.

From the Amersfoort train station, take bus line 3 towards 'Vathorst'. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the 'Krommestraat' stop. From there, walk straight along Krommestraat until you reach the historic city center. Continue straight until you see signs for 'Oudezijds Voorburgwal'. The total travel time is about 30 minutes.

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops near the Amersfoort train station. Once you have a bike, head towards the city center by taking the Krommestraat, which leads directly into the center. Follow the signs for the canals, and you will eventually reach 'Oudezijds Voorburgwal'. The cycling distance is about 5 km, and it should take you around 20-30 minutes, depending on your speed.
