If you are starting from the center of Leiden, head towards the central square known as the 'Botermarkt.' From there, walk southeast towards the 'Zijlpoort' (Zijl Gate). Once you reach the Zijlpoort, continue walking on the Zijlstraat until you reach the intersection with Steenstraat. Turn left onto Steenstraat, and you will find the National Museum of Ethnology at Steenstraat 1B, just a short walk down the street.
