From South Amboy, transfer to the NJ Transit bus #117 towards Staten Island. The bus will take you to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. After arriving at the terminal, board the ferry to Staten Island. Once you arrive at Staten Island, take the local bus #78 from the ferry terminal to Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden, which is located at 1000 Richmond Terrace.

  • Bicycle

    If you have a bicycle, start at the Asbury Park Boardwalk and head west towards Main Street. Follow Main Street north until you reach the intersection with Route 35. Turn left onto Route 35 and continue heading north until you reach the ferry terminal in Manhattan. Use the bike path to cross the Hudson River via the Staten Island Ferry. Once on Staten Island, you can ride along Richmond Terrace until you reach Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden at 1000 Richmond Terrace.
