The Majestic Indian Hunter Sculpture in Central Park

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, head southeast on Pleasant Plains Rd toward US-202 S. Merge onto US-202 S and continue for about 9 miles. Take the exit onto I-287 S toward Morristown. After approximately 12 miles, take exit 35 for I-78 E toward Newark. Merge onto I-78 E and continue for about 15 miles. Take exit 57 for I-95 N toward George Washington Bridge. Keep left at the fork to continue on I-95 N, following signs for The Bronx. Take exit 1 for Henry Hudson Pkwy N toward Riverdale. Continue straight to stay on Henry Hudson Pkwy N. Take the exit toward W 79th St. Turn right onto W 79th St and then left onto Central Park West. Drive into Central Park and follow signs to The Mall, where you will find the Indian Hunter sculpture.

• Public Transportation

  From the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, you will need to drive or take a taxi to the nearest train station, which is in Morristown. Board a NJ Transit train heading toward New York Penn Station. Once you arrive at Penn Station, transfer to the subway. Take the A, C, or E train from 34th Street-Penn Station toward Upper Manhattan. Get off at the 59th Street-Columbus Circle station. From there, walk east on W 59th St to Central Park. Enter the park at the south entrance and walk toward The Mall, where the Indian Hunter sculpture is located.
