If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto NJ-206 N from your location in the Skylands Region. Follow the signs for I-80 W/New Jersey 206 N. Merge onto I-80 W and continue for approximately 10 miles. Take exit 27 for NJ-183 N towards Stanhope. Continue on NJ-183 N for about 3 miles until you reach Waterloo Rd. Turn left onto Waterloo Rd, and after a short drive, you will find the Waterloo Village Historic Site on your right. Parking is available on-site.

For public transportation, first, check for NJ Transit bus routes servicing the Skylands Region. You can take the NJ Transit bus to the Netcong Train Station, which is the nearest train station to Waterloo Village. From the train station, you may need to use a local taxi service or rideshare app, as there are no direct public bus routes to Waterloo Village. The taxi ride will take approximately 10 minutes, and expect to pay around $15-$20 for this service.

If you prefer to cycle, ensure you have a map of the area. You can follow NJ-183 N from Stanhope, which leads directly to Waterloo Rd. The route is approximately 5 miles and offers scenic views of the surrounding nature. Be cautious of traffic, especially on weekends when the roads may be busier.

Walking to the Waterloo Village Historic Site is not recommended due to the distance and lack of pedestrian paths along major roads.
