Walking
Start at the Hudson Amtrak Station located at 73 N 2nd St, Hudson, NY 12534. Exit the station and head south on N 2nd St towards Union St. Turn left onto Union St and continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 9. At the intersection, look for a bus stop where you can catch a bus heading towards West Shokan. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the timings.

Public Transportation
From the Hudson Amtrak Station, take the 'Trailways' bus service heading towards Kingston, NY. The bus will stop at various points along Route 28. Inform the driver that you need to get off at the stop for Ashokan Reservoir. The ride should take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the reservoir area, which is a short walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Hudson. Start your journey by heading east on Warren St until you reach the Hudson River. Follow the bike path along the river, which will eventually lead you towards Route 28. Continue on Route 28 for about 10 miles until you reach the Ashokan Reservoir. The ride will take about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace.
