Bus
From Lake Placid, take the public bus operated by the Adirondack Transit Lines. Board the bus at the Lake Placid Depot located at 1 Main St. Make sure to check the bus schedule for departure times to Blue Mountain Lake, which may not run frequently. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride along NY-86 and NY-30, which should take about 30-40 minutes. The bus will drop you off at a stop near the intersection of NY-30 and NY-28.
