Getting There

  • Train

    From the White Plains Metro-North Station, board the train heading towards Grand Central Terminal. You will need to get off at the next station, which is the Woodside Station. This journey will take approximately 25 minutes. Once you arrive at Woodside, transfer to the 7 train (the purple line) towards Flushing-Main St. After about 10 minutes, get off at the 45th Rd-Court House Sq Station. From there, exit the station and walk for about 10 minutes towards Gantry Plaza State Park, located at 4-44 47th Rd in Long Island City.

    Head to the White Plains Bus Terminal and take the Bee-Line Bus #60 towards the Pelham Bay Park Subway Station. Stay on the bus for about 45 minutes, and get off at the stop for the 7 train at the Junction Blvd Station. Here, transfer to the 7 train towards Flushing-Main St. After about 5 stops, get off at the 45th Rd-Court House Sq Station. Exit the station and walk approximately 10 minutes to reach Gantry Plaza State Park at 4-44 47th Rd.

    If you are starting from the White Plains downtown area, you can take a scenic walk to the White Plains Metro-North Station (about 15 minutes). From there, follow the train instructions above. Alternatively, if you are nearby, you can walk to Gantry Plaza State Park directly, which would take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Head east on Main St, turn right on South Broadway, and continue until you reach the Metro-North tracks. Cross over to the Queensboro Bridge and follow signs for the park.
