Subway
Start at the Yonkers Metro-North Station. Board the Hudson Line train towards Grand Central Terminal. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the 125th Street Station in Harlem, Manhattan. From there, transfer to the 2 or 3 subway train towards Times Square. Ride for 4 stops and get off at the 42nd Street/Times Square Station. At this station, switch to the 7 train towards Flushing. Ride for 6 stops and get off at the 5th Avenue/42nd Street Station. Exit the station and walk east along 42nd Street until you reach 5th Avenue. Turn right and walk north for about 3 blocks until you arrive at 991 5th Ave, the American Irish Historical Society.

From the Yonkers Ferry Station, take the Bee-Line Bus #1 towards New York City. Stay on the bus for about 25 minutes. The bus will take you across the Bronx River Parkway and into Manhattan. Get off at the stop at 5th Avenue and 86th Street. From there, walk south on 5th Avenue for about 10 minutes, and you will reach the American Irish Historical Society at 991 5th Ave.

If you are near the Yonkers Waterfront, you can walk towards the north along the Hudson River. Head towards the Yonkers Metro-North Station, then take the Hudson Line train towards Grand Central Terminal.
