Public Bus
From the center of Yonkers, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Bee-Line Bus #1 towards Manhattan. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'E 79th St & 2nd Ave' stop. From there, walk west on E 79th St for about 2 blocks until you reach 53 E 79th St, where the New York Society Library is located.

Metro North Train
Make your way to the Yonkers Metro North train station. Take the Hudson Line train towards Grand Central Terminal. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central, exit the station and take the 4, 5, or 6 subway line from Grand Central to 86th St. Walk east on E 86th St until you reach 2nd Ave, then head south on 2nd Ave to E 79th St. Turn left and walk to 53 E 79th St for the New York Society Library.
