From Yonkers, head to the Yonkers Metro-North station. Take the Hudson Line train towards Grand Central Terminal. Disembark at the 125th Street station in Manhattan. From there, transfer to the A or C subway line at 125th Street and 8th Avenue. Take the A or C subway downtown towards Brooklyn. Get off at the 59th Street – Columbus Circle station. Exit the station and walk east on 59th Street toward 7th Avenue. Turn left on 7th Avenue and continue until you reach Doris C Freedman Place. The General William Tecumseh Sherman Monument will be on your left.

From Yonkers, find the nearest bus stop and take the Bee-Line Bus #1 towards the Bronx. Ride until you reach the last stop at the terminal. Transfer to the MTA Subway at the 149th Street – Grand Concourse station. Take the 2 or 5 subway line downtown to 42nd Street – Times Square. From there, transfer to the A, C, or E subway line towards the downtown direction. Get off at the 59th Street – Columbus Circle station. Exit the station and walk east on 59th Street toward 7th Avenue. Turn left on 7th Avenue, and you will find Doris C Freedman Place on your left.
