From there, transfer to the A or C subway line at 125th Street and 8th Avenue. Take the A or C subway downtown towards Brooklyn. Get off at the 59th Street – Columbus Circle station. Exit the station and walk east on 59th Street toward 7th Avenue. Turn left on 7th Avenue and continue until you reach Doris C Freedman Place. The General William Tecumseh Sherman Monument will be on your left.

From there, transfer to the A, C, or E subway line towards the downtown direction. Get off at the 59th Street – Columbus Circle station.
