If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major town, Motueka. Drive south on State Highway 60 for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the Abel Tasman National Park entrance at Marahau. From here, follow the signs to the Marahau car park. The car park has a fee of about NZD $5 per day. Once parked, head to the Marahau Beach where you'll find the water taxi services.

At Marahau Beach, you can catch a water taxi to Anchorage Bay. Several companies operate in this area, and the journey typically takes about 30-40 minutes. The cost for a one-way trip is around NZD $40-$50 per person. Ensure you check the schedule in advance to coordinate your return trip. Upon arrival at Anchorage Bay, follow the signs to Anchorage Hut, which is a short walk from the beach.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Nelson to Motueka, which runs several times a day. The cost is approximately NZD $15-$20. From Motueka, follow the car guidance to Marahau as mentioned before. You will still need to use the water taxi to reach Anchorage Hut.
