If you're traveling by car, start from Marahau, the southern gateway to Abel Tasman National Park. Drive north on Abel Tasman Drive until you reach the park entrance at the Abel Tasman National Park Visitor Centre. From there, continue driving until you reach the parking area at the end of the road. Please note there is a parking fee, which is approximately NZD $10 per day. From the parking area, you will need to walk on the Cleopatra's Pool Track, a well-marked trail that takes about 1 hour to hike. Follow the signs for Cleopatra's Pool, and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.

For those using public transportation, begin your journey by taking a bus from Nelson to Marahau. Bus services such as the Nelson to Abel Tasman shuttle operate regularly, and a one-way ticket costs around NZD $30. Upon arriving in Marahau, walk to the Abel Tasman National Park Visitor Centre, then follow Abel Tasman Drive to the parking area. Access to Cleopatra's Pool requires a hike on the Cleopatra's Pool Track, which is a well-marked trail that takes about 1 hour. Be sure to check the bus schedule for your return trip, as services may vary.
