Start your journey at the Auckland Ferry Terminal located at 99 Quay Street. Purchase a ticket for a ferry to Devonport, which is about a 12-minute ride. From the Devonport Ferry Terminal, head towards Victoria Road. Follow Victoria Road until you reach the intersection with Wynyard Street. Turn left onto Wynyard Street and continue walking until you reach the entrance to North Head Historic Reserve. The entrance is well marked and is approximately a 20-minute walk from the ferry terminal.
