Start at the Auckland Ferry Terminal located at 99 Quay Street, Auckland Central. Purchase a ticket to Waiheke Island. Ferries run regularly, typically every 30 minutes. The trip takes about 40 minutes and offers beautiful views of the Hauraki Gulf. Once you arrive at the Waiheke Island Ferry Terminal, you will be in Matiatia.

From the Matiatia Ferry Terminal, exit the terminal and find the bus stop for the Waiheke Bus Company. Look for the bus that goes to Onetangi. Board the bus and enjoy a scenic ride that lasts around 30 minutes. The bus will take you directly to Onetangi, where you will need to get off at the Onetangi Sports Park stop.

After getting off the bus at Onetangi Sports Park, head south on Onetangi Road. Walk approximately 1.5 kilometers (about 20 minutes) along the road. Tantalus Estate is located at 70/72 Onetangi Road, which will be on your right. Look for the vineyard and the distinctive entrance to the estate.
