Ferry
Start your journey at the Auckland Ferry Terminal located at 99 Quay Street. Purchase a ticket for the Devonport Ferry. Ferries run regularly, so check the timetable online or at the terminal. Once on the ferry, enjoy the scenic ride across the Waitematā Harbour, which takes about 12 minutes. Upon arrival at Devonport Wharf, disembark and head toward Victoria Road.

Walking from Devonport Wharf
From the Devonport Wharf, turn left onto Victoria Road and walk straight. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Takarunga Road. You will see the signs directing you toward North Head. Turn right onto Takarunga Road and follow it for about 5 minutes to reach the entrance of Maungauika / North Head Historic Reserve, located at 18 Takarunga Road.

Alternatively, you can take a bus from Auckland Central. Head to the bus stop on Victoria Street West, near the Sky Tower. Catch the bus number 811 or 812 heading to Devonport. The journey takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Devonport bus station, follow the same walking directions mentioned above to reach the reserve.
