Elevate Your Experience at Christchurch Gondola

Getting There

• Bus

  From the Christchurch city center, head to the nearest bus stop. You can catch the number 28 bus heading towards 'Lyttelton'. The bus departs from stops along Colombo Street, such as the stop at 'Colombo St near Cashel St'. After a 30-minute ride, get off at the 'Bridle Path Rd near Gondola' stop. From there, it’s a short walk to the Christchurch Gondola entrance, located at 10 Bridle Path Road.

• Tram

  Begin your journey at the 'Cathedral Junction' tram stop in the city center. Board the tram heading towards 'Botanic Gardens' and enjoy a scenic ride. Disembark at the 'Botanic Gardens' stop. From there, walk towards Rolleston Ave, and then head south along the path to the 'Glenmore Street' intersection. At Glenmore St, turn right and proceed towards Bridle Path Rd. Follow Bridle Path Rd until you reach the Christchurch Gondola at 10 Bridle Path Road.

• Walking

  If you are near the city center and prefer walking, start at the 'Christchurch Cathedral'. Head south on Colombo Street for about 1.5 km until you reach the intersection with Bridle Path Rd. Turn left onto Bridle Path Rd and continue walking for about 1 km. The Christchurch Gondola will be on your right at 10 Bridle Path Road.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride from the city center. Start your journey on Victoria Street heading towards the south. Follow the cycle path along the river and then connect to the Bridle Path Rd. Continue cycling until you reach the Christchurch Gondola, located at 10 Bridle Path Road. This route is approximately 5 km and offers scenic views of the city and surrounding areas.
