Bus
From the city center, head to the Bus Interchange located at 37 Lichfield Street. Look for the bus route 28 (Cashmere). Board the bus and enjoy the scenic route for approximately 30 minutes. The bus will take you through various neighborhoods, and you will need to get off at the 'Gondola' stop. Once you disembark, walk up the hill on Summit Road for about 500 meters until you reach the Gondola - Summit Station entrance.

Start at the Christchurch Tram stop at Cathedral Square. Take the tram towards the 'Papanui' direction and get off at the 'New Regent Street' stop. From there, walk to the bus stop located on Armagh Street and catch bus route 28 (Cashmere). After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the 'Gondola' stop. From the bus stop, walk up the hill on Summit Road for about 500 meters to the Gondola - Summit Station entrance.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk, you can start from the city center. Head south on Colombo Street, and then continue on the footpath that leads towards Cashmere. This will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Follow the signs for the Gondola, and you will eventually reach Summit Road. Turn right onto Summit Road and walk for approximately 1 kilometer until you arrive at the Gondola - Summit Station entrance.
