    From Fox Glacier, head south on State Highway 6 towards Franz Josef. After approximately 24 kilometers, you will reach the township of Franz Josef. Turn left onto Cowan Street, which is located just before the information center. Continue on Cowan Street, and you will find the Tatare Tunnels Walk car park on your left. There is no entry fee for parking, and the walk starts from this location.
