If you are starting from the Nelson city center, head south on Trafalgar Street towards Hardy Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Bridge Street. Turn right onto Bridge Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Wainui Street. Turn left onto Wainui Street and follow it until you reach the entrance of Miyazu Japanese Garden, which is located on your left at The Wood, Nelson 7010. The walk should take approximately 20-25 minutes.

From the Nelson city center, catch a bus from the bus stop on Trafalgar Street. Board the bus heading towards The Wood. Ensure to check the bus schedule as they run at intervals. Get off at the nearest stop to The Wood, and from there, it is a short 5-minute walk. Head east on The Wood Road and follow the signs to Miyazu Japanese Garden, which should be on your left.
