From the New Plymouth CBD, head to the nearest bus stop located on Devon Street. Catch the 'Bell Block' bus, which operates regularly. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Bell Block. After approximately 15-20 minutes, disembark at the Bell Block stop. From there, walk towards the main road, and turn left onto State Highway 3. Continue walking for about 5 minutes until you reach Hickford Park on your right. The park is located at Bell Block, New Plymouth 4312.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in New Plymouth. Start at the New Plymouth waterfront and head east on the coastal walkway. Follow the pathway until you reach the intersection with State Highway 3. Turn left onto State Highway 3 and continue cycling for about 3 km. Hickford Park will be on your right side as you approach Bell Block.

Starting from the New Plymouth city center, walk along Devon Street towards the east. Follow Devon Street until you reach the intersection with State Highway 3. Cross the highway and continue walking straight on the footpath. After about 2 km, you will reach Bell Block. Keep walking straight, and Hickford Park will be on your right side, just past the local shops.
