    If you are driving from Dunedin city center, head south on Princes Street toward Moray Place. Continue onto High Street and follow the signs for State Highway 1. Turn left onto State Highway 1 and continue for about 3.5 km. Take the exit toward Andersons Bay Road/SH88 and merge onto Andersons Bay Road. After approximately 2 km, turn right onto Tunnel Beach Road. Follow Tunnel Beach Road for about 2 km until you reach the parking area at 25 Tunnel Beach Road, Blackhead, Dunedin 9076. Note that parking is limited, and it may be necessary to arrive early to secure a spot.

    From the Dunedin city center, catch the bus route 5 at the bus terminal. The bus will take you toward the South Dunedin area. Get off at the stop closest to Andersons Bay Road. From there, it's about a 20-minute walk to Tunnel Beach Road. Follow Andersons Bay Road until you reach Tunnel Beach Road and then walk down Tunnel Beach Road for approximately 2 km to reach the parking area. Be sure to check the local bus schedule for the most accurate times and connections. A one-way bus fare is usually around NZD 2.50.
