Getting There

Walking
From the Rotorua city center, start at the Rotorua i-SITE Visitor Centre located at 1170 Fenton Street. Head southeast on Fenton Street for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Arawa Street. Turn left onto Arawa Street and continue walking for approximately 1.2 kilometers. You will pass by various shops and cafes along the way. When you reach the intersection with Tutanekai Street, continue straight, and you will see the entrance to Whakarewarewa, the Living Maori Village on your right. Enter the village and follow the signs towards Heketanga-a-Rangi, which is located within the village premises.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the Rotorua city center, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the intersection of Fenton Street and Arawa Street. Board the 'Whakarewarewa Village' bus. The bus runs every 30 minutes. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes until you reach the Whakarewarewa Village stop. Disembark at the stop, and you will find signs directing you towards Heketanga-a-Rangi within the village.
