Bus
From Rotorua City Centre, head to the nearest bus stop on Fenton Street. Board the 'Rotorua to Whakarewarewa' bus. Make sure to tell the driver you want to get off at Waipa State Mill Road. The bus ride should take approximately 20 minutes. Once you get off, walk down Waipa State Mill Road for about 500 meters until you see the entrance to Waipa MTB Carpark on your left.

Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Rotorua city. Head towards Te Ngae Road and follow the cycle path. Continue on Te Ngae Road until you reach the intersection with Waipa State Mill Road. Turn left onto Waipa State Mill Road and pedal for about 1.5 kilometers. The Waipa MTB Carpark will be on your right.

Walking
If you're up for a walk, start from the Rotorua City Centre and head south on Fenton Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Te Ngae Road. Cross over Te Ngae Road and take a right onto Waipa State Mill Road. Follow this road for approximately 2 kilometers, and you will find the Waipa MTB Carpark on your left, just before the entrance to the Whakarewarewa Forest.
