From Taupo town center, head to the Taupo Bus Terminal located on Tongariro Street. Take the bus that goes towards Wairakei. Make sure to check the bus schedule beforehand, as buses may not run frequently. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Link Road. Once you get off, follow Link Road in the direction of the Lilliput Taupo Animal Park, which is approximately a 15-minute walk. The park will be on your left-hand side.

Walking or Cycling
If you are feeling adventurous and want to explore the area, you can walk or cycle from the Taupo town center. Start by heading southeast on Tongariro Street and then take a right onto Lake Terrace. Continue along Lake Terrace until you reach the Wairakei Drive intersection. Turn left onto Wairakei Drive and then take a right onto Link Road. The Lilliput Taupo Animal Park will be on your right after a short walk. This route is approximately 8 km and takes about an hour and a half to walk.
