Start from Taupo's town center at the Taupo i-SITE Visitor Centre located on Lake Terrace. Head east on Tongariro Street towards the lake, then turn right onto Lake Terrace. Continue walking along the lakefront until you reach the intersection with Spa Road. Turn left onto Spa Road and walk for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Poihipi Road. Follow Poihipi Road for approximately 4 kilometers. Craters Mountain Bike Park will be on your left-hand side, just past the Wairakei International Golf Course.

Bicycle
If you're renting a bicycle, start from the Taupo i-SITE Visitor Centre. Head east on Tongariro Street and turn right onto Lake Terrace. Ride along the lakefront, enjoying the views, until you reach Spa Road. Turn left onto Spa Road and ride for about 1.5 kilometers. At the intersection with Poihipi Road, turn left and continue on Poihipi Road for about 4 kilometers. Look out for the entrance to Craters Mountain Bike Park on your left, past the Wairakei International Golf Course.
