    From Tauranga city center, head to the bus stop on Willow Street and catch a bus heading towards Putāruru. Make sure to check the schedule for the 'Tauranga to Putāruru' route. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Putāruru, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, walk along SH1 towards the south for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Whites Road. Turn right onto Whites Road and continue for about 1 kilometer until you see the entrance to Te Waihou Blue Springs on your left.

  • Bike

    If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bike from one of the bike rental shops in Tauranga. Start at the city center and head towards the Tauranga Eastern Link cycle path. Follow the path that leads towards Te Puke, and then make your way to Putāruru via SH33. The total distance is approximately 30 kilometers and will take you around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your cycling speed. Once in Putāruru, navigate to Whites Road and follow it to the Te Waihou Blue Springs entrance.

  • Walking (Indirect Route)

    Although it's a long walk, if you're up for it, you can walk from Tauranga to Putāruru. Start at the main bus station in Tauranga and follow Cameron Road south until you reach SH29. Continue on SH29 and then merge onto SH1 towards Putāruru. The walk is approximately 30 kilometers and will take around 6 to 8 hours. Make sure to take breaks and stay hydrated. Upon reaching Putāruru, ask locals for directions to Whites Road, where the entrance to Te Waihou Blue Springs is located.
