Continue on SH47 for approximately 17 km until you reach the junction with State Highway 1 (SH1). Turn left onto SH1 and follow the signs to National Park Village, which is about a further 25 km. Once you arrive in National Park Village, you can park your car at the Tongariro Alpine Crossing shuttle parking area. Note that parking fees may apply, and it's a good idea to arrive early as parking can fill up quickly.
