From Wanaka, head to the Wanaka bus station located on 74 Ardmore Street. Take the bus that heads towards Queenstown. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you reach the Queenstown bus station, exit the bus and head towards the main street, Camp Street. From there, look for the signs pointing towards the Shotover Jet or Skippers Canyon Road. You will need to take a local shuttle or taxi from the Queenstown bus station to Skippers Canyon, as it is about a 30-minute drive from there.

You can book a local shuttle service from Wanaka to Skippers Canyon. Several tour companies offer this service. Call or check online for schedules and availability. The shuttle will pick you up from your accommodation in Wanaka and take you directly to Skippers Canyon. Make sure to confirm the return trip as well, as some services might not operate after dark.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bike from one of the rental shops in Wanaka, such as 'Wanaka Bike Tours'. Once you have your bike, cycle towards the direction of Albert Town and follow the signs to Queenstown. The route is scenic but be aware that the road can be steep in some areas. Once you reach the intersection for Skippers Canyon Road, follow the signs. Please note that this route is quite challenging and may take several hours, so ensure you're prepared.
