Car
If you're driving from Hokitika, take State Highway 6 heading south. After approximately 30 km, you will reach the town of Harihari. Keep an eye out for the sign for Harihari as you enter the town. Once in Harihari, turn onto Unnamed Road, which leads directly to the Harihari Coastal Walkway. There is no entrance fee to access the walkway, and parking is available nearby.

To reach Harihari by public transportation, take a bus from Hokitika to Harihari. Check the local bus schedules for departure times as they may vary. Once you arrive in Harihari, you can walk to the Harihari Coastal Walkway by heading towards Unnamed Road. The walk from the bus stop to the walkway is approximately 1 km and should take about 15 minutes on foot.
