If you are starting in the Whanganui city center, begin by walking east along Victoria Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Anzac Parade. At this intersection, turn left onto Anzac Parade. Keep walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass the Whanganui River on your left. Kowhai Park Family Playground is located on your right-hand side, just before you reach the Pumpkin.
