From the city center of Whangarei, head to the nearest bus stop located on Bank Street. Board the bus heading towards Kamo. You can check the local bus timetable for the exact schedule. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Kamo Village stop. Once you arrive at Kamo Village, walk onto Kamo Road and continue straight until you reach Gray Road. Turn left onto Gray Road and walk approximately 1 kilometer. Kamo Wildlife Sanctuary will be on your right at 124 Gray Road.

If you are within walking distance of Kamo, start from the Whangarei city center and head north on Walton Street. Continue onto Kamo Road, following the signs towards Kamo. Keep walking straight until you reach Gray Road. Turn left onto Gray Road and walk for about 1 kilometer. Kamo Wildlife Sanctuary will be located on your right at 124 Gray Road.
