Getting There

    From Whangarei city center, locate the nearest bus stop. You can take the Whangarei to Ngunguru bus (Route 2) from the bus terminal on Bank Street. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest departure times. The bus will take you along Ngunguru Road. You will need to alight at the stop closest to 6 Ngunguru Road, Tikipunga. From the bus stop, walk approximately 500 meters along Ngunguru Road towards the falls. Follow the signs towards Otuihau/Whangarei Falls.

    If you are starting from Whangarei city center, you can walk to Whangarei Falls. Head north on Bank Street, then turn left onto Robert Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Kamo Road. Turn right onto Kamo Road and walk until you reach the junction with Ngunguru Road. Turn left onto Ngunguru Road and follow it for about 2.5 kilometers. The falls are located at 6 Ngunguru Road, Tikipunga. Look for the signs directing you to Otuihau/Whangarei Falls.
