If you are traveling by car, the most straightforward route to the Little Axe Area is to start on I-35. Take exit 108 for OK-9 East toward Norman. Continue on OK-9 E for about 6 miles until you reach the intersection with 12th Ave SE. Turn right onto 12th Ave SE. After approximately 1.5 miles, continue straight onto Little Gravel Rd. The Little Axe Area will be on your left. Make sure to check for parking areas upon arrival.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take the EMBARK bus system from Oklahoma City to Norman. Board the bus route that goes to the University of Oklahoma in Norman (check the current bus schedules for exact routes). Once you arrive in Norman, you may need to take a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) or a taxi to reach Little Axe Area, as it is about 5 miles from downtown Norman. Expect to pay around $10-15 for a rideshare to your destination.
Bicycle
If you are feeling adventurous and prefer to bike, you can cycle from central Norman. Start from Main St and head south toward 12th Ave SE. Follow 12th Ave SE until you reach Little Gravel Rd. For those who are within walking distance, you can walk from the vicinity of the University of Oklahoma campus. Head east on E Lindsey St, then turn south onto 12th Ave SE. Continue south until you reach Little Gravel Rd, then head east to your destination. This will be a longer walk, approximately 1.5 to 2 miles, but offers a chance to explore the local area.
