Continue straight through the traffic circle onto E 12th St. Follow E 12th St as it winds through the residential area. Eventually, you will reach the intersection with the Historic Columbia River Highway. Turn left and walk for about 0.5 miles to reach the Mark O. Hatfield West Trailhead.

    If you have a bicycle, start from downtown Hood River near the intersection of Oak St and 1st St. Head east on Oak St towards E 12th St. Continue straight to connect to the Historic Columbia River Highway Trail. Follow the trail eastward for about 1.5 miles, enjoying the scenic views of the Columbia River until you reach the Mark O. Hatfield West Trailhead.
