Car
If you're traveling by car, start by heading east on I-84 E from Portland. Take exit 22 for Corbett and merge onto E Historic Columbia River Hwy. Follow the highway for about 8 miles. Shepperd's Dell State Natural Area will be on your right side, look for the designated parking area.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take the MAX Light Rail Blue Line from downtown Portland toward Hillsboro. Get off at the last stop, and then transfer to TriMet bus #350 toward Corbett. The bus will take you to the closest stop near Shepperd's Dell State Natural Area. From there, you will need to walk approximately 0.5 miles along the highway to reach the park entrance. Be sure to check the TriMet website for the latest schedules and fares.

If you arrive by bus, expect to walk along the Historic Columbia River Highway. The area is beautiful, but be cautious as you walk along the roadside. It’s advisable to wear comfortable shoes and be mindful of traffic. The walk will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
