From the Karakoram Highway, head towards Gilgit. Once you reach Gilgit, you can either hire a local taxi or use a rental car to reach the Naltar Valley. The distance from Gilgit to the Naltar Valley is approximately 40 kilometers. The road from Gilgit to Naltar is a mix of paved and unpaved sections, and it may take about 1 to 1.5 hours to reach. Ensure that you have a 4x4 vehicle as the road can be rough in parts. Follow signs for Naltar Valley, and you will eventually arrive at the village of Naltar. From there, the Blue Lake is a short trek away.

Take a bus or shared taxi from the main Gilgit bus station to Naltar Valley. Buses and shared taxis leave frequently throughout the day. The fare is typically around 200-300 PKR. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on road conditions. Once you arrive in Naltar Valley, you may need to hire a local guide or a jeep to take you closer to Blue Lake, as the lake is not directly accessible by road.
