Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Gilgit city. Head northwest on the N-35 (Karakoram Highway) towards Naltar Valley. After approximately 30 kilometers, take a left turn towards Naltar Valley at the junction. The road will become narrower and more rugged as you approach Naltar. Continue for about 15 kilometers until you reach the Naltar Valley. Once in the valley, follow the signs to Murky Lake, which is located near Bashkiri Lake. The journey takes about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on road conditions.

Public Transportation
To reach Murky Lake using public transport, first, take a bus or a shared taxi from Gilgit to Naltar Valley. Buses and shared taxis leave regularly from the Gilgit bus station and the fare is around 200-300 PKR per person. The ride to Naltar Valley will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you reach Naltar Valley, you can hire a local jeep or walk to Murky Lake which is about 5 kilometers from the main road. Local jeep fares may vary, but expect to pay around 1000-1500 PKR for a round trip.

For adventurous travelers, hiking to Murky Lake is an option. If you're already in Naltar Valley, start your hike from the village. The trail is marked and moderately challenging. It will take approximately 1-2 hours to reach the lake from the village. Ensure you carry enough water and snacks for the hike, and wear appropriate footwear.
